Calling itself “The Neapolitan Pizza Company,” MidiCi proudly showcases that Neapolitan heritage at its many nationwide locations. At its Fort Lauderdale restaurant, a notable example of that Naples influence is the Burrata with Melon and Prosciutto appetizer.
“This dish has been a favorite on the menu since we first opened,” says Operations Manager Michael Dansak. “I think guests love it so much because it brings all the different textures and flavors together—and it’s served with freshly toasted Neapolitan bread, which true Italians can appreciate.”
The classic sweet-salty combination of melon and prosciutto gets a rich, dairy-forward counterpoint from the creamy burrata. “Some people stack the meat and cheese on the toasted bread; others eat it with the melon. and some customers like to eat them all separately,” says Dansak. “There are no rules when it comes to this appetizer!”
