With its Strawberry Sparkler, Friendly’s, the long-standing East Coast family restaurant chain, is embracing the red-hot cold-foam trend with its own take. Roberto De Angelis, chief experience officer, calls the drink the brand’s new favorite summertime item. “With such a uniquely fresh and fruity flavor profile, this drink is the perfect sip on a hot summer day,” he says. “We know that our guests will enjoy this must-try beverage.”

The Strawberry Sparkler consists of fresh strawberry purée mixed with Sprite and topped with a collar of whipped cream. The first sip offers a refreshing burst from the carbonation of the soda combined with the sweet and tart strawberry purée. De Angelis credits its visually appealing presentation, balanced and refreshing flavor profile, textural interest and broad demographic appeal among the qualities that grant the summer sipper “best-of” status. “Its success can also be attributed to its ability to evoke nostalgia while providing a new and exciting beverage experience,” he says.
