At The Greene Turtle sports bar and grill chain, Kevin Curley, VP of culinary, is betting big on a winning combination of health and flavor driving the success of the restaurant’s bowl category. The latest addition to that lineup, the Chile-Lime Shrimp Bowl, introduced as an LTO early in 2024, is a promising rookie poised to earn a spot on the permanent menu. “This dish embodies the essence of our bowl category and has been extremely well received by customers,” says Curley. “It’s a standout for its perfect balance of flavors and textures.”
Plump shrimp, sautéed to order in olive oil and seasoned in a blend of chile and lime, serve as the hero ingredient, creating “a harmonious marriage of spicy warmth and zesty brightness that dances on the palate,” he says. The shrimp are served atop blended grains, accompanied by marinated black beans, guacamole and pickled red onions. Pico de gallo lends a refreshing crunch, cilantro adds herbaceous notes, and a drizzle of lime crema provides a cool, tangy essence that ties together the diverse flavors with its citrusy brightness. “Together, these ingredients deliver a vibrant burst of Mexican-inspired flavors.”
