When guests order pizza at Donatos, the toppings are stretched across the crust from edge to edge. That’s an especially good thing for fans of the chain’s Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza, eager to revel in today’s “swicy” trend. The hero ingredient of this pizza pie is a family recipe pepperoni, says Cynthia Ottavio, director of menu innovation. “Pepperoni is the No. 1 pizza topping today, and we’ve taken it to the next level with a blend of spices and a touch of sweetness that appeals to everyone.”

Other components built on the chain’s famous thin crust include fresh mozzarella and honey that has been infused with chile peppers and crushed red pepper flakes. “This combination of ingredients provides a delicious and unique flavor combination of sweet and spice,” says Ottavio. “It’s the best of a classic pepperoni pizza with its craveable, complex fusion of sweet heat. You can’t stop eating it!” The pie, introduced as an LTO in 2023, was an instant top seller, earning customer raves, and was given a permanent spot on the Signature Pizzas menu this year.
