Guests at Southern-meets-California fast casual Gott’s Roadside are loving the blend of pineapple and caramel in the Caramelized Pineapple Shake. In fact, the shake slides into Gott’s top three sellers, competing with classics like vanilla and chocolate. “The Caramelized Pineapple shake is instantly visually appealing to guests, topped high with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle,” says Jennifer Rebman, Culinary Director. “When you see someone walk to their table with a shake in hand, it makes you want to order one for yourself.”

The menu description lures guests in, too: organic vanilla ice cream and milk hand-spun with caramelized pineapple purée, topped with organic whipped cream, then finished with caramel sauce. “The Caramelized Pineapple Shake is a sweet balance of fruity aromas layered with a hint of tartness from the pineapple,” says Rebman. “The caramel adds a layer of richness to the shake that is reminiscent of a pineapple creamsicle.”

Rolled out as a spring feature with another LTO, Gott’s Cubano Sandwich, the shake and sandwich make for a great pairing. “The Shake is an incredible complement to our Cubano; it cuts through the sandwich’s spicy brown mustard and pepperoncini,” says Rebman. The decadent beverage is also perfect on its own, or it can lend a tropical vibe to other menu items such as the Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos, the Crispy Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich or the California Burger.
